FSI FIRST SIGNAL INTELLIGENCE

Before it becomes consensus,
it was an anomaly.

We are a research organization that detects structural shifts in business, geopolitical, and financial environments — and publishes what we find to a limited number of institutional subscribers.

Most news is reeds bending in the wind. We look for the reed that doesn't bend.

Our methodology scans a broad spectrum of sources for anomalies — the irregular, surprising, contradictory, or out of place — and treats them as the earliest indications of structural change. We do not forecast. We do not extrapolate trends. We identify facts that break the baseline and trace their implications before the market absorbs them.

Anomalies are grouped into themes. Each theme carries the full inferential chain: the anomaly itself, the inference it supports, the consequence if it holds, and the sectors and instruments where it surfaces. Themes are tracked over time, measured for ripeness, and retired when they reach consensus.

The method has been in continuous development for over thirty years. It was built for institutional decision-makers who need to see around corners — not to predict the future, but to recognize the present before others do.

One subscription. Everything included. Limited seats.

First Signal Intelligence is offered as an annual subscription to a limited number of institutional subscribers. The constraint is seats, not tiers. Every subscriber receives the full service.

The Inference Dossier

Quarterly

The flagship publication. Eight to twelve active themes, each carrying the full inferential chain: anomaly, inference, consequence, and watch signals. Sourced, cited, evidence on the table. This is the quarterly answer to the question: what is shifting, what does it mean, and what should we be watching for next.

The Theme Matrix

Quarterly

Themes mapped to sectors, companies, and instruments. Not investment advice — the structural map that lets your own analysts act. Each theme is tracked for confirmation and tagged by demand stage: past, present, or potential.

Mid-Quarter Signal Alerts

As warranted

When an anomaly is too loud or too urgent to wait for the quarterly, it goes to subscribers immediately. Sent only when there is something to say. No newsletter cadence. No filler.

Quarterly Briefing

Quarterly · Live round-table

A live session following each Dossier publication. The editor presents findings, and subscribers discuss. Limited to fifteen seats so the conversation stays substantive. Not a webinar — a round-table among peers.

Direct Access

Ongoing

When something breaks in your world, you can reach the editor directly. What does this mean? Have you seen this before? Is this noise or signal? The access is the highest-value part of the service for most subscribers.

Annual Strategy Conversation

Once per year · One-on-one

A dedicated session where the editor reviews your portfolio, sector, or strategic position through the anomaly lens. Someone who looks at your world through a completely different framework and tells you what doesn't bend.

For firms that want the method applied to their domain.

Enterprise engagements are scoped individually and priced as project work. Each is built around a specific question, sector, or portfolio.

Custom Sector Scan

Our detection system tuned to your geography, sector, or portfolio watchlist. A dedicated anomaly feed covering your world, not just the general field.

Private Briefing

The quarterly briefing delivered directly to your team, one-on-one. The editor presents to your analysts, portfolio managers, or strategy group.

Research on Demand

A bespoke anomaly investigation into a specific question, thesis, or emerging situation. Scoped and delivered on your timeline.

Board or LP Presentation

The editor presents to your investment committee, board, or limited partners as an independent intelligence voice. A named methodology applied to your strategic context.

A thirty-year methodology. A trained eye. A track record that builds in public.

First Signal Intelligence is led by G. David Waechter, who was trained in inferential scanning methodology in the late 1990s and received a personal commission to carry the methodology forward. The method has been in continuous application across multiple market cycles, geopolitical shifts, and technological transitions.

The methodology is documented, the lineage is real, and the track record is accumulating. Every theme we publish carries sourced evidence and a calibration record — what we caught, when we caught it, and how far ahead of consensus we were. The record is the proof.

What we are not

We are not a newsletter, a dashboard, a platform, or an AI product. We are not investment advisors. We do not manage money. We produce intelligence — and we publish it to people who can act on it.

What we are

A research organization with a named methodology, a trained editor, and a limited subscriber base. You are buying the eye and the access to it.
